bel canto (it) : means "beautiful song, beautiful singing." It is a style of singing based on vocal display and agility of the Italian opera.
Trio Bel Canto is a musical ensemble consisting of instructors from Ankara Music and Fine Arts University. Its members, Öncü Uçar, Yağızcan Keskin, and İlter Vurucu, have stood out for years not only as educators but also with their careers as soloists and orchestral musicians.
The greatest inspiration and a significant portion of the repertoire of Trio Bel Canto come from works written for flute, clarinet, piano, and various combinations of these instruments over different operas by various composers. As a result of this collaboration, audiences will have the opportunity to hear the beautiful melodies of operas played by these instruments, experiencing famous tunes adorned with the bright timbre of flute, clarinet, and piano.
The concert program features carefully prepared pieces, either originally written for or later arranged for flute, clarinet, and piano by different composers, drawing special inspiration from the 19th century Italian opera.
